The Vogue Trench Coat is Finally Finished!

I've finally finished the trench/raincoat. After weeks of work and endless stitiching, hand stitching, unpicking when things didn't go right, basting, clipping and more hand sewing I'm glad to say it is exactly what I wanted.

I think this raincoat will be travelling overseas with me. ;)

  3. Hi Valerie, I had to come over and have a better look at your wonderful trench coat and see how you hid that hood. Love the clip and swivel method for the hems, this I need to work on :)

  4. Sharon, I did do some photos of how I do it but they didn't show up on black. I'm going to do some sketches and post them up soon.

  7. Hi Valerie, I am not sure if you will get this comment, as this post is so old. However, I want to thank you for your wonderful reviews and photos of this pattern. I have just finished my own version and found your tips/comments to be very helpful. It was brilliant to add a detachable hood and secret storage pocket in the lining, and I have done the same in my version. I have posted a review and highlighted all the areas I used your advice and ideas:
