Merry Christmas

Dear Bloggers,

As the year draws to a close I want to thank everyone who has dropped by, read posts, sent emails, visited, turned into friends!

It has been an eventful year for me, for the world and for my city, Sydney.

I hope the rest of the year unfolds peacefully no matter where you are with good times and celebrations with those you love... I am looking forward to 2015. I have some exciting things planned.

Earlier in the year I was giving away a pattern or book a month from my stash. That fell into hiatus in August but I want to give away a December gift from the stash as a Christmas thank you.

It's a Issey Miyake pattern give away. I know there are die-hard fans of any Issey Miyake patterns out there! This is unused, uncut. Size Medium but very roomy.

If you want to be in the draw let me know in the comments. Entry will be finalized and drawn on the morning of Dec 24, local time.

Thanks for reading,

 Val.

  6. Merry Xmas Valerie. I have enjoyed reading your blog over the years. Everyone I know feels so terrible over the Sydney siege. It feels like we have lost some innocence but as all the leaders are saying we must continue as normal so the terrorists do not win and Australia has been so good in being home to so many different people. I just wish we could all be respectful and tolerant of our differences as after all we are the same humans.
I have recently finished my first issei miyake pattern a rather conservative skirt pattern for him but l love it. I have a top pattern as well which I am aching to sew up so I don't need to go in the draw for the giveaway.

  7. Merry Xmas Valerie, it has been a lovely year reading your blog and finally meeting. Take care of yourself and hopefully we can catch up again in 2015. Please do not enter me in the draw for the pattern.

  8. Merry Christmas Valerie, and I am so sorry about what happened in Sydney this week. Unbelievable. Did you know there is an exhibition of modern Japanese fashion in GOMA in Brisbane? I love it, all those clean and clever Japanese lines. The Issey Miyake reminds me of what I have been looking at, so yes please enter me in the draw.

Please enter me in the draw. This looks like a fascinating pattern and I would love the opportunity to sew it up. If necessary I will pay the postage to Canada.

  11. and thank you! 2014 would not have been the same without you :-) So sorry for the unlovely business of last week. Crushing and unbelievably sad. I can share that the view here of Sydney is of a beautiful peaceful city full of very nice people - everyone was stunned and so sorry for you.

  12. Thank you everyone for your good wishes and comments...
Sigrid no, I can't see you in this outfit :) Chanel jackets are more your style!
Coco, Sydney is recovering its chutzpah. The vast majority of migrants (or our parents) came here to live in peace, not terror. Sydney will have her New Year fireworks and life will go on.
